Chrisander Technologies we delighted and grateful to be invited to the grand opening of Ireland’s first CNG Re-Fuelling Station in Smithstown, Shannon, Co. Clare on May 21st.

Clean Ireland Recycling and Gas Networks Ireland invited us to the official opening of Ireland’s first CNG re-fuelling station, which was officially opened by Minister for Communications, Climate Action and the Environment. Denis Naughten.

This joint venture between Clean Ireland Recycling and Gas Networks Ireland will service Clean Ireland Recycling’s dedicated CNG waste collection vehicles, the first of their kind in Ireland. We were impressed with both the setup and the occasion and look forward to bring you more details in the coming months as this exciting shift towards CNG becomes more present in our everyday lives.

We took some pictures and have a small gallery below, which we hope you enjoy.

CNG is a natural gas which has been compressed to fit into a vehicle’s tank and is particularly suitable for use in commercial vehicles. A proven alternative to diesel or petrol, CNG provides the greatest cost saving and emission reduction benefits for transport operators. Visit our sister site, cnginstallations.ie for more details on how Chrisander Technologies can help your business transport needs migrate to using CNG.

A small article about this opening appeared in todays Irish Examiner on the business pages and another article was posted online by Gas Networks Ireland, which you can find here: Gas Networks Ireland
