Chrisander Technologies recently worked on the Granuaile Irish Lights Ship.
The original air conditioning system on board the ship for all the cabins, bridge and living quaters was recently replaced. However it was not operating to full capacity and it was discovered that there was an uneven temperature differential between the two heat plate exchangers. Chrisander engineers were tasked with dismantling the wet system, installing a number of balancing valves, flushing of the plate exchangers and reconstructing the system back to working order.
The boat is continually at sea and serving different locations around the Irish coast. Any such works have to be carried out when the ship is docked and has to be completely in a timely, professional and controlled environment.
